About the Role
Decmil is seeking a Superintendent to lead our team in an exciting new Road Upgrade Project in Western Sydney. In this role, you will work closely with the whole team to drive standards and support our people.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily performance to ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects.
- Develop and monitor compliance with Short-Range Program (SRP) and Medium-Range Program (MRP) in line with the main contract program.
- Ensure effective utilisation and management of plant and equipment resources.
- Ensure project construction methodology and project delivery plans are reviewed and implemented.
- Ensure asset management procedures are complied with.
- Review of project risks, methods, and equipment proposals.
- Manage site-based activities involving direct labour, subcontractors, and materials to ensure all safety, quality and time requirements are met.
- Review construction planning and monitor progress to ensure it is on schedule and within quality, time, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate and review subcontractor works, subcontractor packs and HSEQ compliance including JHA’s and SWMS.
- Implementation of Project quality systems ensuring the quality of works and documentation is being undertaken.

What You’ll Bring
- Trade qualification and/or experience in building and construction-related discipline as required.
- Preferably a minimum 10 years’ Supervisory experience.
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent preferred.
- Construction induction white card.
- Current Australian ‘C’ class manual Drivers Licence.
- Strong proven qualities of leadership, integrity, loyalty, and performance management.
- Sound and proven ability and knowledge in construction and project execution.
- Principles of supervision, training, performance evaluation and professional development.
- Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound computer literacy skills.
- Ability to build trust, set standards and make clear decisions.
- Strong planning, problem-solving and stakeholder skills. Commitment to safe, high-quality delivery
Role Details
- Location: Western Sydney
- Roster: Monday- Saturday
- Initial Project Duration: 15 Months
- Full Time – Permanent
