Overview

The purpose of the Unit Registry Specialist role is to ensure a high level of service is provided to our Fund Manager and Responsible Entity clients to achieve the Fund Services Registry business objectives.

The role will be responsible for the proactive assessment of daily deliverables, effective allocation and performance of resources and escalation of issues to ensure accurate and timely processing of all documentation received from investors, industry participants and issuers.

The role requires strong knowledge and experience in the provision of registry services.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities

Strategic Focus

  • Understand and support the strategic goals for MUFG Corporate Markets Fund Services Registry
  • Participate in initiatives to enhance the Operating Model
  • Support the introduction of new technology through the planning, testing and adoption phases
  • Play a leading role in supporting initiatives to improve the level of service provided to our Fund Managers and their investors

Operational Management

  • Ensure all operational and investor service deliverables provided in the Local and Global Hub are completed within the time frames in the Client Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Identify and escalate with suggestions to address any ongoing Service Delivery Failures
  • Act as the first point of contact and escalation for internal stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve complex investor or Fund Manager queries, ensuring professional communication
  • Effectively coordinate and/or resolve any escalated issues and/or investor/client feedback or complaints
  • Attend regular and Ad-hoc meetings with the Fund Manager/Responsible Entity
  • Review of bank reconciliation for strategic/high- risk Fund Managers and monitoring to resolution of exception items
  • Review and release of payments within the threshold appropriate to your role (currently $99,999,999.99)
  • Complete oversight audit of high-risk updates to the register
  • Liaise with Fund Manager/Custodian and internal teams on planning and execution of Ad-hoc/bulk process such as distributions/Year End
  • Lead Ad-hoc/bulk processes such as distributions and Year End, from planning to execution

People Leadership

  • Collaborate with your team members to ensure effective management/utilisation of all resources and proactively foster teamwork
  • Development and management of key internal and external relationships related to the team
  • Support the development, training and coaching of staff in accordance with operational objectives and core values

Governance & Risk

  • Maintain and ensure compliance with Generic and Client Specific Business Rules
  • Maintain accurate Standard Operating Procedures for the Registry unit
  • Adherence to Link Policies and Procedures
  • Escalation of potential issues Completion of all risk related activities, Control Self Assessments, Internal Audit and External Audit

  • 5+ years industry experience, preferable registry experience
