Finance exists to deliver exceptional experiences for every stakeholder and ensure all financial information is accurate and timely. Our Finance team has a forward-looking focus on the business, industry, and market environment, as well as the needs of external and internal customers. We align the finance function with the overall purpose and objectives of the organisation in a changing external environment. As Accounting Lead, you partner with Financial Controller and other key stakeholders to oversee and manage finance operations team mainly Accounts Receivable, NDIS Billings and Accounts Payable. Key to this role is leading the Finance Operations Team directing the processing of day-to-day transactions to deliver timely and accurate financial information. Additionally, this role will be supporting in system implementation and improvement projects.

Key Competencies And Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the full range of financial accounting activities - including general accounting, financial analysis, and reports - coupled with recognised professional qualifications in Accounting/Commerce/Finance.
• Accreditation as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or a Chartered Practising Accountant (CPA) - highly desirable.
• Computer literacy - with a sound knowledge of accounting software and spreadsheet programs
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain financial concepts to business units, managers, and employees
• High level of attention to details and accuracy while working under pressure.
• Strong planning and organising skills with ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet agreed timeframes and required work quality.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of Team.
• Strong problem identification, analysis and solving skills.
• Strong record keeping and file management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
