6- 12 month contract opportunity, offering valuable exposure to 24/7 network operations

As a Control Room Officer, you’ll be responsible for monitoring and coordinating activities across our gas distribution network. From responding to emergency calls to dispatching field crews, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining service reliability and safety for the communities we support.

What you’ll be doing

• Be the first point of response - manage incoming faults and emergency calls, ensuring accurate logging and timely action in line with SLAs
• Monitor network performance across a range of customer, asset and works management systems to identify issues and trigger the right response
• Schedule, dispatch and coordinate field crews to ensure faults, maintenance and emergency work are actioned within service level requirements
• Maintain critical system updates across permits, notifications, lone worker processes and planned and unplanned works
• Collaborate across teams - working closely with field staff, planners and internal stakeholders to keep operations running smoothly
• Respond to and support emergencies, prioritising incidents, providing clear advice and acting as the ATCO Gas Operator during emergency activations
• Manage risk and asset alarms by monitoring alerts, coordinating with security and escalating issues in line with operational procedures
