As part of our long-standing partnership at Middlemount Mine, we're seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters and Plant Mechanics to join our maintenance team. This is a permanent opportunity offering excellent earning potential, a balanced roster and long-term career stability.

The Opportunity

Working within a high-performing maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining fleet reliability and equipment availability across a large mobile mining fleet. Your contribution will be critical to ensuring equipment remains safe, productive and operationally ready.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing scheduled servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs efficiently
• Completing component replacements, overhauls and major rebuilds
• Responding to breakdowns and minimising equipment downtime
• Identifying maintenance improvements to maximise fleet performance
• Completing maintenance documentation and compliance requirements
• Working collaboratively with operations and maintenance personnel
• Adhering to all site safety standards, policies and procedures

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic
• Proven post-trade experience within mining, civil or heavy industry environments
• Strong experience maintaining heavy earthmoving or mining equipment
• Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical, or the ability to obtain
• Current Queensland Driver's Licence
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
