We're currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support a major mining operation and play a critical role in maintaining fleet reliability and performance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Planning & Reliability Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimising maintenance activities across a large mobile mining fleet. Your focus will be on maximising equipment availability through effective planning, scheduling and defect management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing short and long-term maintenance plans to support operational requirements
  • Coordinating scheduled servicing, component replacements and shutdown activities
  • Managing maintenance backlogs and prioritising work to minimise downtime
  • Monitoring equipment defects and ensuring corrective actions are planned and executed
  • Liaising with maintenance supervisors, tradespeople and operational personnel to achieve maintenance targets
  • Escalating critical equipment issues requiring urgent attention
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and planning data within company systems
  • Identifying opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency and fleet performance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive maintenance planning experience within a heavy mining environment
  • Strong knowledge of ultra-class mining equipment
  • Relevant trade qualification
  • Experience using maintenance management systems such as JDE
  • Advanced computer skills across Microsoft Office applications
  • Current Standard 11 (or ability to obtain)
  • Current Queensland Driver Licence
  • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
