About The Role

Due to continued growth within our JCB operation, we are looking for an experienced Parts Interpreter to join our team based out of Springvale.

As the central point of contact for parts enquiries, you will provide exceptional service to customers while accurately identifying, sourcing, quoting, and supplying parts for JCB construction, agricultural, and industrial equipment. You will play a critical role in supporting customers and maximising machine uptime through prompt and accurate parts solutions.

Working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will help drive parts sales, maintain strong customer relationships, and contribute to the ongoing success of our growing JCB business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer parts enquiries via phone, email, and over-the-counter sales
  • Accurately interpret parts requirements and identify suitable parts solutions
  • Prepare customer quotations and proactively follow up opportunities
  • Process sales orders, invoices, backorders, and purchase orders
  • Source genuine and non-genuine parts where required
  • Monitor stock availability and coordinate stock transfers between branches
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Provide customers with updates on order status and delivery timeframes
  • Support promotional activities and identify opportunities to grow retail parts sales

About You

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

  • Experience with JCB products will be highly regarded
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Parts Interpreter, Parts Advisor, or similar parts-focused role
  • Experience within the construction, earthmoving, agricultural, materials handling, truck, or automotive industries
  • Construction or agricultural equipment experience will be highly regarded
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with quoting, ordering, inventory control, and invoicing
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong computer literacy and experience using ERP or inventory management systems
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
