About this position

The City of Gosnells is seeking to appoint a proactive Rates Officer to join its Financial Services Branch on a 12-month contract.

Reporting to the Coordinator Rates, this role assists with the levying and collection of rates, as well as maintaining the City's property database and rates valuation register.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Well-developed time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team, exercising initiative and sound judgement to proactively contribute to the business unit

Essential requirements

  • Current National Police clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
