Clinical Quality & Safety Lead
easykind
At easykind, we are at the forefront of healthcare, specialising in medicinal cannabis to provide compassionate and innovative solutions for patient care. As a rapidly growing start-up founded by patients, for patients, we are thrilled to welcome new members to our exceptional team.
We’re a passionate, goal-driven team with the mission of providing a 5-star service whilst providing the most cost-effective solution to high quality plant based medicine in Australia. We don’t want to be the everyday medical clinic, instead bringing relatability and friendliness mixed with a level of professionalism to simplify the process for our patients.
This original vision remains a key foundation of our clinic today. We carry this inspiration into everything we do at easykind, ensuring that our focus remains firmly on our patients and their care. Our clinical team, composed of AHPRA-registered doctors and nurse practitioners, provides expert, professional care during every consultation. Before and after appointments, our patient support centre is on hand to answer questions and guide patients, ensuring they feel fully supported throughout their alternative healthcare journey with us.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical leadership team as Clinical Quality & Safety Lead - a newly created, full-time role responsible for the governance, audit, and quality systems that keep our practitioner workforce operating safely and compliantly.
This isn't a back-office governance role. You'll work closely with our Clinical Lead, Medical Director, and Practitioner Team Leads to design and maintain the systems that make high-quality care possible at scale. You'll own the audit program, monitor regulatory change, lead incident review, and provide the reporting that drives clinical decision-making at the leadership level.
If you're a clinically grounded nurse with a passion for governance and quality, and you want to build something, not just maintain it - this is the role.
What You'll Do
Clinical audit and assurance
- Own the design and maintenance of clinical audit tools, ensuring they reflect current standards and regulatory requirements
- Run structured audit cycles across the practitioner workforce, including onboarding audits for all new practitioners within their first month
- Assign and oversee audit tasks across audit support staff; conduct Team Lead-level audits yourself
- Provide direct audit feedback to practitioners on documentation and compliance matters; escalate clinical capability concerns to the Clinical Lead
Governance and regulatory
- Actively monitor changes to healthcare regulations, professional standards, and telehealth guidance; translate these into recommended updates to policies, guidelines, and audit tools
- Maintain ongoing review of policies to ensure currency; recommend changes where required
- Ensure quality improvement initiatives meet governance and regulatory compliance before implementation
Incident review
- Review clinical incidents (CINs), confirm whether immediate actions are appropriate, and lead root cause analysis where required
- Identify local and systemic gaps from incident findings; communicate recommended actions to relevant stakeholders
Governance reporting
- Provide structured audit outcomes, quality metrics, and compliance assessments to the Clinical Lead and Medical Director
- Oversee development of tools and processes to automate data collection where practicable
What you'll bring
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing with AHPRA - essential
- Substantial experience in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement within primary care, telehealth, or a comparable healthcare setting
- Demonstrated experience designing audit programs and governance frameworks, not just working within them
- Proven capability in clinical incident review and root cause analysis
- Strong understanding of Australian healthcare regulatory and professional standards
- Experience managing audit staff or coordinating audit programs across a distributed workforce
- Sharp analytical and documentation skills - you can turn audit data into clear, actionable insights
- Medicinal cannabis industry experience is desirable, but not required
What We Offer
- Work at the forefront of a rapidly growing healthcare industry.
- Join a collaborative team that genuinely supports each other.
- Competitive remuneration and benefits.
- Hybrid/fully remote options.
- Join a company nominated for LinkedIn's Top Startups 2025.
