About the Facility
Parklands Aged Care is a 72‑bed home co‑located with a retirement village, set among landscaped gardens in a peaceful, leafy environment. Residents enjoy spacious rooms, village‑style amenities such as café and hairdresser, and a strong sense of community connection.
We are looking for Lifestyle Assistant to join our aged care team at Parklands Aged Care, in Part Time capacity.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Lifestyle Assistant to join our team and help create engaging, meaningful experiences for our residents. In this rewarding role, you will support the emotional, social, and physical wellbeing of residents through activities that bring joy, connection, and purpose.
This is a hands-on, people-focused role ideal for someone who is energetic, creative, and passionate about improving quality of life for older people.
What You Will Be Doing
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging lifestyle and recreational activities
- Encourage resident participation in group and one-on-one activities
- Support social, cultural, and community engagement opportunities
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and understand their interests and preferences
- Assist in organising events, outings, and special celebrations
- Work collaboratively with care staff to support residents’ overall wellbeing
- Maintain accurate activity records and documentation
- Create a positive, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all residents
What You Will Bring
- Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or similar
- Experience in lifestyle, activities, aged care, or community services (preferred)
- A genuine passion for working with older people
- Creative thinking and ability to engage residents in meaningful ways
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, energetic, and compassionate approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check, or willingness to obtain this
