Senior Alumni Engagement Officer

Classification: ANU Officer 6/7 (Administration)

Salary package: $100,847 - $116,083 per annum plus 17% superannuation

Terms: Full time, Fixed term (until 20/08/2027)

• Deliver alumni engagement programs through strategic communications, events, volunteer opportunities, and community initiatives.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships with alumni, students, donors, academic colleges, and University partners.
• Coordinate alumni participation opportunities that support student recruitment, mentoring, employability, advocacy, and University priorities.

Position overview

The Senior Alumni Engagement Officer plays a key role in strengthening relationships between the University and its global alumni community. Working within ANU Advancement, the position is responsible for designing and delivering strategic alumni communications, engagement programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and stewardship activities that increase alumni participation and support the University's strategic priorities. The role serves as a central point of connection between alumni, students, donors, academic colleges, and internal stakeholders, creating meaningful opportunities that enhance student recruitment, employability, mentoring, and lifelong engagement.

A key focus of the position is identifying and recognising accomplished alumni through targeted engagement and recognition initiatives that celebrate their achievements and strengthen their connection to the University. These programs help elevate the ANU reputation by showcasing the impact and success of its graduates while fostering pride and affinity across the alumni community. Through strong relationship management, collaboration, and service delivery, the role contributes to building a sustainable network of engaged alumni, volunteers, advocates, and future supporters of the University.
