About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to support our project teams in the effective implementation of site-based HSEQ management systems, procedures, and programs.

You will play a key role in ensuring the business meets its legal obligations, client requirements, and broader organisational objectives across:

Reporting to the WA HSEQ Manager, this site-based position will see you act as the HSEQ champion for Guidera O’Connor. You will drive a culture where “Work As Planned IS Work As Done”, ensuring alignment with our HSEQ policies, systems, and procedures across all project activities.
As the successful applicant, you will
- Champion and maintain a positive culture of Health, Safety, Environment, Wellbeing, and Quality (HSEQ) across the business
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in HSEQ performance
- Guide and support site teams in all aspects of HSEQ throughout the construction and project delivery lifecycle
- Support the ongoing maintenance and compliance of accredited management systems
- Promote and maintain a safe and compliant workplace for all workers
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve positive HSEQ outcomes
You will bring
- Proven experience within the construction industry, including strong knowledge of high-risk work activities and safe work practices
- Proven experience working autonomously in a site-based environment, while drawing on the backing, support and expertise of your manager and the National HSEQ team
- The ability to interpret legislation and company procedures and translate them into clear, practical guidance for site teams
- Experience using HSEQ systems, software, and reporting tools systems
- Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and influence a wide range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership and influencing capability, including confidence in managing negotiation and issue resolution
- A self-motivated approach with strong problem-solving skills

Qualifications & Certifications
- Cert IV WHS /OHS qualification (essential / minimum)
- Current First Aid Certificate (essential)
- Workplace Drug and Alcohol Tester qualification (essential)
- ICAM Lead Investigator or equivalent certification (essential)
- Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry (Construction White Card - essential)
- Electrical Test and Tag qualification (preferred)
- Experience as a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator (preferred)
- Working at heights (preferred)
- Confined space (preferred)
