The Junior Business Analyst role exists to analyse, plan and document change to the technology platforms within the team.

The purpose of a Junior Business Analyst is to assist the business stakeholders identify the problem and the expected business and customer outcomes that will determine their actual needs. This is achieved by understanding where the business is today (the current state), where they wish to go (the future state) before determining the gaps that identify the end-to-end business requirements including appropriate management of risk.

  • Plan own work efficiently to ensure that it will assist with delivering the stated outcomes on time, on budget and within approved scope.
  • Determine the correct approach and tools to be used for business analysis on the project or initiative and document this information.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to identify, understand, document (where necessary) and validate the current state as it relates to the project/initiative and how it may be impacted end to end. This includes business, organisation, people, processes, procedures and system factors.
  • Understand and document the outcomes for the customer, and both internal and external business stakeholders.
  • Identifying any deficiencies and improvement opportunities that will impact the initiative/project.
  • Identifying where detailed causal analysis around problems is required.
  • Identifying discrepancies in information gathered and where additional clarification is needed.
  • Document gaps between current and future state to a high level sufficient to enable the business to achieve their stated outcomes and the preparation of the business case.

About You

  • 2 years+ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Business Analysis qualifications desirable
  • Technology qualifications desirable
