The opportunity
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will act as a key finance partner to the Group Brand & Marketing leadership team, driving strategic insights that directly improve store and customer experiences. Operating within the Finance stream, this role is essential in shaping the annual budget, managing monthly forecast cycles, and building robust scenario models for high-profile commercial programs. You will translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations, ensuring alignment across the ecosystem while managing financial risks and capital expenditure. This is a highly visible position where your commercial acumen will directly influence business improvement initiatives and support long-term retail growth.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Brand & Marketing teams to provide financial guidance, insight on costs and benefits, and ensure the successful delivery of the annual operating plan.
- Prepare monthly performance reports, providing actionable insights and variance analysis supported by both financial and non-financial metrics.
- Lead the financial modeling and strategic business case development for key initiatives, including the Collectibles & Continuity programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve our processes and commercial outcomes and take action to bring benefits to fruition
- Manage the Brand & Marketing balance sheet reconciliations, capital expenditure requests, and the quarterly risk register mitigation plans.
- Coach and mentor team members horizontally across the finance and business forums to foster a culture of professional growth and process efficiency.
What You'll Bring
- CA/CPA qualification with extensive post-qualification experience.
- Advanced skills in business partnering, influencing, and negotiating key decisions from concept through to implementation.
- Exceptional presentation and storyboarding abilities, with a proven track record of making complex financial information simple for a broad audience.
- Advanced capability in financial systems (such as SAP and Google Suite), and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong business planning skills with the ability to see the big picture, build scenario models, and evaluate the impact of trends on operating activities.
- An innovative and curious growth mindset that aligns with core values of deep care, active learning,e and doing the right thing.
