The Opportunity

Our Australian Cost Estimation team is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Cost Manager to join us. This position has a core focus on generating specialised estimation services for our Industrial, Water, Power, Defence and Buildings clients.

While each project you work on will be different in scope and scale, this role will see you:

  • Exposed to a wide range of projects across a variety of clients and industries
  • Working alongside experienced estimators across Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, to build on, grow and develop our specialist team
  • Impacting the quality of our project delivery by ensuring robust Estimation practices are followed across the team
  • Building capability while immediately supporting a range of projects across the globe

Our cost estimation team and multi-disciplinary engineering group is based in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. You’ll be part of a supportive and inclusive culture where your ideas are valued, your development is encouraged, and you’re empowered to contribute, be heard, and take the lead.

About You

This role is ideally suited to a degree-qualified Engineer, Quantity Surveyor or an experienced Site Estimator with a background in the construction sector. You are highly organised, an excellent communicator, and confident in influencing stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.

You Will Also Bring

  • Strong experience delivering cost estimates, with a clear understanding of total project costs (including direct and indirect costs, escalation, contingency, and risk)
  • Solid knowledge of construction methodologies and practical on-site experience
  • Awareness of market trends, cost drivers, contract implementation and variation management
  • Ability to provide technical estimating advice while contributing to a collaborative, team-focused culture
  • Understanding of AACE estimate classifications (Class 1–5) including methodologies and accuracy expectations
  • Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior team members
