Demand on our services has created an opportunity for a Projects & Construction Senior Associate to join the Perth team working with Troy McKelvie. As an integral member of our team, you should expect to work on various projects across the energy, infrastructure and construction sectors across a range of local, regional and cross border projects. Our Australian Projects team sits across our Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne offices, so you will join a large and collaborative national team while also working with colleagues across the globe.
The key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows;
Responsibilities
- Work on energy projects for project sponsors, financiers and large energy users nationally.
- Advise on and draft a range of project documentation including power purchase agreements, gas sales/supply (pipeline gas and LNG) and storage agreements, connection agreements, services and development agreements, delivery and joint venture agreements.
- Manage work streams on large domestic and international projects.
- Liaise with clients on consents, amendments and project delivery issues as they arise.
- Supervise and mentor Graduates, Lawyers and Associates
- Liaise with clients and assist with business development initiatives
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years PQE gained within a front-end construction, energy or projects practice
- Experience assisting on a range of energy/construction/projects matters
- Strong client liaison skills
- Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills
- Strong time management & organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously
