About The Role

This role partners with business units to provide commercial expertise across bids, contracts, procurement, and operational delivery. You will play a key role in managing commercial risk, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring contractual obligations are met. Working across multiple stakeholders, you will contribute to business growth, governance, and continuous improvement while delivering value and protecting business interests .

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial support across bids, contracts, and operations
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements
  • Support complex subcontracting and procurement activities
  • Identify and manage commercial and project risks
  • Contribute to bid strategy, pricing, and governance processes
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and trade requirements
  • Provide commercial advice to business units and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Lead and support commercial team development initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement in commercial practices

Skills And Experience

  • 10+ years experience in commercial, contracts, or procurement roles
  • Strong knowledge of contracts, subcontracts, and supply chain management
  • Experience in defence, government, or complex project environments
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage commercial risk
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to influence strategy and support business growth
  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Law, or related discipline
  • Understanding of trade controls and regulatory compliance
  • Current drivers licence and White Card (preferred)
  • Eligible for or able to obtain NV1 Defence Security Clearance (mandatory)
