Network Communications Engineer

Join a high-performing Network & Communications team supporting the critical communications infrastructure that keeps major operations connected and running safely.

Our client is seeking an experienced Communications Engineer for an initial 3–6 month contract based in Perth. Working an 8/6 roster, you'll provide operational support across complex TETRA and private LTE environments, ensuring the reliability and performance of business-critical communications networks.

This role is Perth-based and offers the opportunity to work within a large-scale operational environment where communications systems are fundamental to day-to-day operations. You'll be involved in BAU support, incident response, troubleshooting, maintenance activities and continuous improvement initiatives across critical communications infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the operation and maintenance of TETRA and private LTE communications networks
• Troubleshooting radio, mobile network and communications infrastructure issues
• Coordinating incident response and working closely with operational stakeholders
• Managing vendor engagement and maintenance activities
• Contributing to network improvement projects, upgrades and documentation

What we're looking for

We're interested in speaking with Communications Engineers, Radio Engineers and Critical Communications Specialists who can confidently work in operational environments and quickly become a valued member of the team.

You'll ideally bring

• Experience supporting TETRA, LTE or mission-critical communications networks
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability
• Experience within mining, resources, utilities, industrial or critical infrastructure environments
• Exposure to radio communications, site-based communications infrastructure and operational technology environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management skills
