Board Member

For over 80 years, St John ACT has been at the heart of our community — delivering lifesaving first aid services and supporting Canberrans when it matters most. As we navigate a rapidly changing environment, we’re looking for passionate, values-driven leaders to help guide our next chapter.

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for up to three Board Director positions.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute at a strategic level, strengthen community outcomes, and support a trusted, purpose-driven organisation.

We’re seeking experienced leaders who can bring

• Commercial and business development expertise

• Finance, accounting, or risk management capability (CPA/CA desirable)

• Strong ACT-region networks across business, government, or community

• Governance experience—particularly in federated or NFP organisations

• AICD (or equivalent) qualifications highly regarded

What you’ll bring

• Strategic mindset and contemporary governance expertise

• Financial and risk literacy

• Integrity, sound judgement, and collaboration

• A genuine commitment to community impact

Directors must be Canberra-based and willing to actively engage in Board activities.
