Community Living Project is a values-based organisation that has worked alongside people with disability and their families for more than 40 years. We are seeking a thoughtful, collaborative Chief Financial Officer to help guide our financial sustainability and strengthen the foundations that support meaningful, inclusive lives.

About the role

Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will play a key leadership role in guiding CLP’s financial sustainability, governance and strategic decision-making. Working closely with the CEO, Board, managers and external partners, you will ensure strong financial systems, clear reporting, sound compliance and practical advice that supports high-quality services.

This is a part-time position (0.8 FTE) suited to someone who brings both strong commercial judgement and a deep appreciation for working in a purpose-driven, person-centred environment.

What you’ll bring to CLP

  • Leadership of financial strategy, planning and forecasting to support long-term sustainability.
  • Oversight of accounting operations, payroll, reporting, compliance and statutory obligations.
  • High-quality financial analysis and advice for the CEO and Board.
  • Strong stewardship of budgets, grant funding, acquittals and financial controls.
  • Continuous improvement of systems, processes and reporting tools.
  • Effective and collaborative management of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A calm, ethical and people-centred leadership style that builds confidence and capability across the organisation.

Who you are

  • You are an experienced senior finance leader with strong expertise in accounting, reporting, budgeting and governance.
  • You bring excellent judgement, integrity and attention to detail.
  • You can translate complex financial information into clear, practical insights for a range of audiences.
  • You are motivated by purpose and want your professional skills to contribute to inclusion, belonging and meaningful lives for people with disability.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline and CA or CPA qualified.
