We are seeking a passionate and engaging Project Officer to lead the statewide delivery and growth of the Stay ChatTY Schools and Sports Programs.

This role can be based in either Hobart or in Launceston and is a contract position for a duration of 12 months. Please note, the internal recruitment portal will describe this as 'temporary' - this is very much a 12-month contract opportunity.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful, prevention-focused work that reaches young people, schools, sporting clubs, and communities across Tasmania.

As the SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY (SUSC) Project Officer, you will be responsible for facilitating program delivery, building strong stakeholder relationships, and supporting the ongoing development and expansion of Stay ChatTY’s mental health literacy programs.

You will also play an important role in supporting SUSC fundraising and community engagement activities, including major events such as Stay ChatTY Shorts Day and the Stay ChatTY Gala Ball.

Do you fit the bill

  • A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline enabling delivery of evidence-informed mental health programs
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences
  • Sound understanding of mental health, suicide prevention, and mental health promotion
  • Experience in community engagement, ideally within schools and/or sporting environments
  • The ability to work in alignment with the values and mission of Relationships Australia Tasmania
  • A current driver’s licence
