Position Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Business Analyst to support a large-scale healthcare data migration and EMR transformation initiative. This role will be responsible for assessing, profiling, mapping, and validating data across multiple source systems to ensure successful migration into the new environment

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, clinical teams, and technical resources to identify data dependencies, improve data quality, and support governance and migration activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Flexible work is available including hybrid work from home/client site in Hobart.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Play a key role in supporting a meaningful healthcare transformation and data migration program that will positively impact patients and clinical teams.
  • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand, analyse, and improve data quality across multiple systems.
  • Assist with data profiling, mapping, validation, and migration readiness activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data consistency, usability, and governance practices.
  • Contribute to collaborative workshops, discussions, and solution planning with cross-functional teams.
  • Support a positive, inclusive, and team-focused project environment where ideas and contributions are valued.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • Experience in data analysis, business analysis, data migration, or related data-focused roles.
  • Strong attention to detail with a naturally curious and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate confidently with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of data quality, governance, and data management principles.
  • Experience working with complex datasets and translating information into meaningful insights.
  • Healthcare, EMR, or transformation project experience is highly regarded.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in supportive and fast-paced environments.
