Business Review Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the SSN-AUKUS Acquisition Branch within the Australian Submarine Agency (ASA). This role will support the coordination and delivery of strategic advice, executive briefings, governance products and workforce initiatives across one of Australia's most significant Defence capability programs.

Working within a complex and highly sensitive environment, the successful candidate will work closely with senior Commonwealth and industry stakeholders to coordinate briefing products, support governance activities and provide clear, timely and decision-ready advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare project documentation and support review and clearance activities, including mobilisation activities with the Australian Shipbuilder.
  • Support workforce development initiatives and secondment/embedment activities with the Australian Shipbuilder.
  • Lead the drafting and coordination of briefs, submissions and other written material for senior leadership and Government stakeholders.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of briefing products, from initial drafting through to final clearance.
  • Coordinate inputs across ASA to ensure consistent, aligned and agreed messaging.
  • Translate complex or ambiguous issues into clear, concise and decision-ready advice.
  • Manage competing priorities and delivery timelines to ensure briefing outputs are delivered when required.
  • Respond to emerging and sensitive issues in a timely and considered manner.
  • Support governance forums through the preparation of briefing packs, talking points and follow-up actions.
  • Track actions, clearances and dependencies associated with briefing and governance processes.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across Commonwealth, industry and external stakeholder groups.
  • Mentor and transfer knowledge to APS project team members.

Experience Sought

  • Demonstrated experience working within complex Defence acquisition programs.
  • Strong executive writing, briefing and governance experience.
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across Government and industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and deliver high-quality written products under tight timeframes.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and classified information with sound judgement and discretion.
  • Experience within maritime, submarine, CASG, ASA or other major Defence capability programs will be highly regarded.
