We're partnering with a successful Brisbane-based specialist B2B advisory business that has already invested heavily in its marketing capability. With established lead generation activity, marketing technology, agency support and a valuable customer database in place, the focus is no longer building the foundations, but extracting more value from them.
Reporting directly to the founder, you'll lead marketing strategy, performance and resource management, helping transform strong marketing activity into a more sophisticated and commercially accountable growth function.
The Opportunity
This is a senior strategic marketing role.
You won’t be expected to personally write every article, build every landing page, manage every EDM or execute every campaign yourself. Instead, your role will be to set the strategy, build the roadmap, review what is already in place, brief internal and external resources, manage delivery, review quality, measure performance and report on commercial outcomes.
Execution will be supported by internal team members, agencies, freelancers, consultants and specialist providers under your direction.
A key first step will be reviewing the existing marketing function, including current activity, suppliers, systems, reporting and performance. From there, you’ll identify what should be retained, improved, stopped or scaled.
Success will come from connecting customer insight, content strategy, CRM, database activation, reporting and commercial outcomes into a clear and measurable growth plan.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Developing and leading the marketing strategy and 12-month roadmap
- Reviewing existing marketing activity, resources, suppliers, systems and performance
- Building stronger reporting, attribution and performance visibility
- Using customer and market insight to shape content and campaign direction
- Improving database activation, nurture and lifecycle marketing
- Managing internal marketing resources and external agency partners
- Strengthening organic channels including content, SEO, LinkedIn, thought leadership and video
- Developing lead magnets, EDM programs and nurture campaigns
- Improving CRM segmentation, lead source tracking and marketing effectiveness
- Using paid marketing to amplify strong content and retarget warm audiences
- Aligning marketing activity to lead quality, pipeline and revenue growth
About You
You are a senior marketing leader who has successfully led marketing strategy in a commercial environment.
You understand how to translate marketing investment into measurable business outcomes and are comfortable working closely with founders, senior stakeholders and technical subject matter experts.
You don’t need to personally execute every task, but you do need to understand execution well enough to manage specialists effectively, challenge assumptions, hold suppliers accountable and ensure work is commercially impactful.
You’ll bring:
- Experience leading marketing strategy, budgets and external partners
- Strong commercial and analytical capability
- Experience building reporting, attribution and measurement frameworks
- A customer-first approach grounded in research and insight
- Experience with CRM, database activation, EDMs and nurture programs
- A strong understanding of content-led growth and B2B lead generation
- Confidence influencing founders, business owners and senior stakeholders
- A bias toward evidence, data and practical testing over assumptions or trends
Experience within financial services, lending, professional services, advisory, property, SaaS or other high-value B2B environments will be highly regarded.
