With a strong pipeline of work in Victoria, we are looking for a talented, curious, and committed Senior Consultant, Stakeholder Engagement & Communications to join our team.
Our ideal candidate will enjoys collaborating with others, be great at translating complex technical information into accessible and engaging communications, and will have prior experience engaging with stakeholders and the community, preferably across multiple sectors in a professional services consultancy role.
Our ANZ Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Section partners with our clients and the broader Jacobs business to design, deliver and evaluate engagement and communications programs for major planning and infrastructure projects. We help our clients solve their most complex challenges, considering stakeholder and community risks, impacts and benefits, with the aim of delivering positive environmental and social outcomes. Our clients span the energy, water, defence, transport, and health sectors.
You will
Prepare tailored communications and engagement plans. To develop these plans you will confidently undertake stakeholder and risk analysis, design engagement processes and develop clear implementation plans.
Deliver stakeholder and community engagement planning and risk workshops.
Prepare communications for a range of channels, this may include community updates and notifications, briefing presentations, webpage copy and media releases.
Coordinate and help facilitate engagement activities, in-person and online, this may include workshops, information sessions, webinars and online forums.
Prepare engagement outcome reports, including an analysis of qualitative and quantitative outcomes.
Collaborate with a range of technical specialists and work in multi-disciplinary teams.
Contribute to a positive team culture and participate in continual improvement.
Confidently lead engagement deliverables and engage directly with project teams and clients.
Develop your consultancy and project management skills, in line with Jacobs Global Career Framework.
Here's what you'll need
A tertiary qualification in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, Social Science, Arts or related field.
Professional development in and an understanding stakeholder and community engagement best practice.
Engagement Institute (International Association of Public Participation) certification.
5+ years relevant experience in a communications and/or engagement experience.
Experience working on planning, development and/or infrastructure projects, within Government or in a Consultancy environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and a high-level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
Strong organisational, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
A ‘can do’ attitude with an interest in continuous learning and improvement.
An ability to work in a fast-paced consultancy environment, and juggle multiple priorities.
