Here’s what you’ll be up to…

As a Building Asset Officer, you’ll support the effective management of Council’s building assets through inspections, data management, maintenance planning and contract support. This is a permanent full-time role within a collaborative Strategic Asset Management team.

  • You will: Conduct condition inspections, maintain asset data and systems, coordinate preventative maintenance, raise and prioritise work orders, support sustainability initiatives, and assist in supervising contractors.Work with internal teams, contractors, consultants and service providers across Council.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented and enjoys working across both field and office environments.

  • A practical problem-solver with experience or interest in building maintenance, inspections or asset management.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage data, prioritise tasks and meet timeframes.
  • A collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset and clear communication skills.
  • Motivated to learn, grow and contribute to meaningful outcomes for the community.

The must-know bits

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.

Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, to progress through the recruitment process.
