About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and mechanically minded individual to join our Log Yard team in a full-time position.

Working as part of a small team, you will participate in the day-to-day operation of the Log Yard and surrounding outdoor areas. This is a hands-on role involving the operation of specialised equipment, routine maintenance, and general site housekeeping.

This position operates on a Monday to Friday roster:

• 6:00am – 2:06pm
• 10:00am – 6:06pm

Key Responsibilities

• Operate gantry and chipper cranes
• Operate loaders and chainsaws
• Perform pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
• Conduct basic fault finding and monitor flow rates
• Assist with equipment maintenance, including sharpening chipper knives and chainsaw chains
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the Log Yard and outdoor areas
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be mechanically minded with an interest in operating machinery
• Be willing to undertake on-site training in Log Yard operations and equipment
• Be willing to obtain a CB High Risk Work Licence (Bridge and Gantry Crane)
• Have good communication skills
• Be able to work effectively within a small team and show initiative when working independently
• Be committed to maintaining a safe workplace and identifying hazards
• Be willing to undergo a employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
