Peninsula Vet Emergency & Referral Hospital is a purpose-built, 24/7 emergency and referral facility delivering advanced care across Surgery, Anaesthesia and Emergency Care. Our hospital is known for its collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, where nurses play a vital role in patient outcomes and clinical decision-making.

Located on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, you’ll enjoy complex, high-acuity Surgical work, with beaches, wineries, and bushland trails just minutes away when you clock off — and Melbourne only an hour away.

About the Role

• Providing compassionate pre-operative and post-operative nursing care
• Complex anaesthesia monitoring and strong surgical nursing skills
• Flexibility and ability to work within a team
• Working closely with specialists, including scrubbing into surgeries and assisting surgeons in theatre
• Working closely with the emergency team to provide excellent patient care
• A rotating weekend on call roster
• Excellent client communication skills
• A fun vibe, and a love of all music genres is highly regarded

We’re seeking experienced Surgery Veterinary Nurses for full-time or part-time positions. This role is ideal for confident nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, referral-level environment and want to continue developing advanced Surgical skills.

Leadership opportunities are available for experienced nurses ready to step into senior or mentoring roles.

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

• Minimum 4+ years’ clinical experience

• Strong clinical knowledge

• Confidence working in a referral-level, high-acuity environment

• Genuine enthusiasm for learning, growth, and clinical excellence

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A calm, adaptable, and patient-focused approach
