Description & Requirements

Help us deliver a better tomorrow

Australia Post plays a vital role in keeping Australia moving — and our fleet is at the heart of it. Behind every delivery is a complex, safety-critical operation, and we’re continuing to evolve how we manage and maintain our fleet to meet the demands of today and tomorrow.

As our network grows and modernises, we’re investing in smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable ways of operating. From safety and compliance through to asset performance and cost efficiency, we’re rethinking how our fleet supports the broader network.

We’re building what’s next and looking for people who want to play a hands-on role in shaping how our fleet operates into the future.

About the opportunity

This is a key role within our Network Operations team, focused on delivering high-impact projects across Transport, Fleet, and Operations. As Project & Engagement Lead – Fleet, you’ll play a critical role in bringing strategic initiatives to life, working across a broad stakeholder landscape to drive outcomes that improve safety, cost, quality, and service.

You’ll operate in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate delivery, embed change, and ensure initiatives land effectively across the business. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful, network-wide projects while influencing how we operate today and into the future.

What you’ll deliver with us

You’ll lead the coordination and delivery of strategic fleet and transport initiatives, ensuring projects are implemented effectively and deliver measurable improvements across the network. You’ll play a key role in driving compliance, operational consistency, and continuous improvement through strong engagement and execution.

You will also:

  • Deliver end-to-end project coordination, ensuring timelines, milestones, and outcomes are met
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support implementation and drive engagement across initiatives
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and efficiencies, supporting cost-benefit analysis and sustainable outcomes
  • Support the development and refinement of standards, processes, and operating procedures to improve compliance and performance

About you

You’re a hands-on project professional with strong experience in transport, logistics, or fleet environments. You’re comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, balancing delivery with engagement, and navigating operational complexity to get outcomes on the board.

You bring:

  • Experience delivering projects or initiatives within transport, logistics, or fleet environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across a broad network
  • A practical, organised approach to project delivery, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Understanding of safety, compliance, and operational standards within heavy vehicle or logistics environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and drive continuous improvement
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and bring others along the journey

Most importantly, you’re someone who is proactive, resilient, and motivated by delivering real outcomes while supporting teams through change.

How we’ll deliver for you

  • The opportunity to lead in Australia Post’s most complex and innovative transformation journey.
  • Exposure to enterprise‑scale automation, technology and network transformation.
  • Genuine influence shaping national network performance.
  • Leadership development, flexibility and career growth within a purpose‑led organisation.
