UPA Aged Care Solutions is looking for an enthusiastic Chef/Cook to join our dedicated hospitality team at Bracken House Aged Care Facility in Dubbo. If you have experience in commercial or bulk cooking and take pride in delivering exceptional food and service, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As our Chef/Cook, you'll play an important role in enhancing the wellbeing of our residents by preparing fresh, nutritious and enjoyable meals that cater to a variety of dietary needs and preferences.

This position includes weekend shifts, making it ideal for someone seeking a rewarding role with flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for residents.
  • Ensure all food is prepared, presented and served to a high standard.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
  • Follow Food Safety Standards and HACCP requirements.
  • Assist with menu preparation and accommodate special dietary requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider care team to deliver an excellent dining experience.
  • Support continuous quality improvement and compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in preparing meals that bring comfort and enjoyment to others.

You will have:

  • Experience in bulk cooking, preferably within aged care, healthcare or hospitality.
  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Standards and HACCP principles.
  • Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and special dietary requirements.
  • Strong organisational, communication and time management skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • A genuine commitment to person-centred care and resident wellbeing.
  • Availability to work weekend shifts.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in aged care.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
