Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk (Line 2)
nib Group
About this role
Drive the design and delivery of a robust operational risk framework across the nib Group. Reporting to the Group Head of Risk, this role partners with senior stakeholders to embed effective risk practices into business processes, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, managed and reported to support strong decision-making, resilience and regulatory compliance.
You will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of risk frameworks, translate risk priorities into actionable initiatives, and deliver measurable uplift outcomes. A key focus is ensuring compliance with prudential standards (including CPS 220 and CPS 230) while aligning risk practices across the operating model.
This role requires deep risk expertise, strong stakeholder engagement, and a proven ability to integrate risk and compliance into business strategy and operations.
About you
You bring strong experience delivering risk transformation and regulatory uplift programs, such as RMIP or equivalent initiatives, with a proven track record of driving meaningful change in complex environments.
You have the ability to translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable execution plans, consistently delivering measurable and sustainable outcomes that enhance risk maturity.
Importantly, you have hands-on experience embedding frameworks into day-to-day business operations—moving beyond design to ensure risk practices are effectively adopted, integrated, and sustained.
You’ll bring:
A strong understanding of contemporary Risk and Compliance related frameworks, methodologies and standards.
Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship building, and change management skills, including experience in business change management and transformation relating to operational environments.
Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to contribute to the development of operational policies, procedures and guidelines.
Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written, aimed at Operational Levels, Senior Leadership and Executive audiences.
The ability to influence and work collaboratively to achieve desired outcomes.
Tertiary or industry recognised qualifications in risk management, business, finance, accounting, legal or a related discipline.
We know some people only apply when they meet every requirement. We’re always on the lookout for curious individuals who will add to the culture – so if this role resonates with you and you have relevant experience, we’d love to hear from you!
