Digital Project Manager
DBM Vircon
Who we are
DBM Vircon, a premier construction modeling, detailing and digital engineering company, delivers high-profile projects with state-of-the-art technology, uncompromising detail and millimeter precision. At DBM Vircon we see the future through a very different lens. With over five decades of experience in the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors, DBM Vircon is recognized as one of the industry-leading design/detailing and digital engineering companies. Drawing upon over 900 team members, with experience in over 6 continents, we regularly challenge the status quo by delivering high-end solutions and integrated delivery methods on some of the industry’s largest projects. Innovation, eminence, and digital are at the heart of everything we do.
We're growing — and we're looking for a sharp, client-ready Digital Project Manager to join our expanding digital engineering team across a genuinely diverse project portfolio: buildings, infrastructure, Games 32, defence, and energy & utilities.
This isn't a desk-bound coordination role. You'll be deep in the work — managing federated models, driving BIM execution plans, running clash detection, and standing in front of clients with the confidence to own the room.
We're after someone who brings both the technical chops (Revit, ACC, Navisworks, ISO 19650 — the real stack) and the mindset: curious, humble, collaborative, and hungry to keep developing as the tools and the work evolve. If you've got 5+ years in AEC, energy, or industrial sectors and you're looking for a team that takes digital engineering seriously, we want to hear from you.
Bonus points if you're eligible for defence clearance or have construction-site experience. Even more if you've got an eye for innovation and enjoy contributing to R&D beyond your day-to-day delivery.

A client-facing role built on trust, collaboration and credible stakeholder relationships. The DPM works within multidisciplinary teams and is expected to lead small- to medium-sized projects independently.

- Ability to lead small-to-medium projects independently.
Desirable
- Mentoring and developing others.
- Clash detection depth, OpenBIM workflows & interoperability, automation, model review/QA-QC.

Attitude
We are looking for a team player who is genuinely curious and eager to learn, and who keeps developing their skills as the work and technology evolve. They bring a humble approach, are comfortable asking and questioning, ask the right questions, understand the collective effort and shares and communicates credit, comfortable to be transparent about what they know and they don’t, they treat people with respect and genuinely care about their team, their clients and the quality of the work they deliver.
Work Experience
- Preferred: 5+ years professional experience in the AEC, energy, mining or industrial sectors.
- Not a strict deal-breaker. A strong candidate with ~3 years may be considered — particularly an internal coordinator already conditioned to DBM Vircon’s ways of working. External candidates would typically be expected to bring 5+ years.
- For reference across the ladder: DPM 5+ years · Senior DPM 7+ · Service Lead 10+ with relevant sector experience.
Education/Training
Tertiary qualification related to the construction industry (architecture, engineering, construction management or similar). Extensive relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
Software & Technology
What matters is the capability, not the specific tool: information management, model federation, clash detection, CDE administration, and drawing/document management. The tools below are indicative examples of where these capabilities are applied — not a mandatory checklist (unless hiring for a specific task).
