Home Lending Executive
BOQ Group
About The Role
As a Home Lending Executive within BOQ Specialist, you’ll take ownership of a healthcare-aligned home lending portfolio, driving strong customer outcomes while supporting portfolio growth, retention and sound risk management. This is a highly autonomous role where you’ll partner closely with Relationship Executives and broader stakeholders to deepen existing relationships, identify new opportunities and progress lending deals end-to-end.
You’ll play a critical role in shaping and structuring complex home lending solutions—applying your credit expertise, judgement and commercial thinking to support deals through to settlement. Along the way, you’ll deliver a consistently high standard of customer service, proactively manage risk, and step in to resolve escalations with confidence and clarity.
Beyond day-to-day portfolio management, you’ll act as a trusted advisor across the business—collaborating with internal teams, brokers and external partners to deliver seamless outcomes for customers. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement opportunities, helping to streamline processes, remove friction and uplift the overall customer experience.
About You
You’re an experienced home lending professional with a strong technical foundation and a genuine passion for delivering tailored outcomes for customers. With proven experience in complex lending environments, you bring the ability to interpret policy, assess risk and structure deals with confidence, while balancing commercial and customer priorities.
You’re known for your strong relationship management and influencing skills, and you thrive in environments where collaboration is key. Whether you’re working with internal stakeholders, brokers or customers, you build trust quickly and know how to drive outcomes through others.
You’re analytical, solutions-focused and comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy, using sound judgement to navigate challenges and resolve issues. At the same time, you stay curious—embracing change, challenging the status quo where needed and continuously looking for ways to improve both customer experience and team capability.
Importantly, you bring a strong customer-first mindset, paired with a commitment to quality, compliance and risk awareness in everything you do
BOQ Group is a truly unique group of challenger brands with a purpose – to provide a genuine alternative to Australian financial services for customers and employees.
Our family of brands (Bank of Queensland (BOQ), ME Bank, Virgin Money Australia, BOQ Specialist), each come with their own defined customer audience and brand personality, but share one goal – to build social capital through banking. That’s creating trust with customers, exploring staff potential and believing that tiny gestures and big ideas can change the world for communities.
BOQ Group’s inclusive vision is to foster a workspace that values and leverages difference and creates new possibilities, a place where our people feel confident to bring their best selves to work every day. We embrace difference and believe that our workforce should reflect the customers and communities that we serve.
In 2023, we successfully implemented an innovative Reconciliation Plan, driving positive change and promoting inclusivity across BOQ Group.
