Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and support Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure secure and reliable data access.
  • Build and maintain data integration and movement solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Support development, testing and operational database activities across environments.
  • Collaborate with developers, DBAs and stakeholders to deliver shared objectives.
  • Follow system development lifecycle practices including version control and release management.
  • Produce clear technical documentation to support ongoing operations and handover.
  • Perform unit testing and quality assurance on database solutions.
  • Participate in after-hours deployment support on a rostered basis.

Qualifications

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • You have strong experience managing Microsoft SQL Server databases in enterprise environments.
  • Your background includes full lifecycle database development from analysis through to release.
  • You'll bring hands-on experience with SSIS and data integration solutions.
  • You're skilled at designing and optimising database schemas and structures.
  • You understand change management practices including versioning and release processes.
  • Your documentation skills ensure clear knowledge transfer and operational support.
  • You'll collaborate effectively with technical teams and provide clear guidance when needed.
  • You're degree qualified in IT, Computer Science or bring equivalent industry experience.
