Nursing Informatics Specialist
Alignerr
Nursing Informatics Specialist (AI Training)
About The Role
We're looking for experienced Nursing Informatics Specialists to bring real-world clinical knowledge to the cutting edge of AI development. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs — and we need nurses who understand how care actually works to help us build AI systems that get it right.
Your frontline expertise in clinical workflows, EHR systems, and patient documentation will directly shape how AI understands and supports healthcare. This is a rare opportunity to step beyond the bedside and influence the future of health technology — on your schedule, from anywhere.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated clinical content, workflows, and documentation for accuracy, safety, and real-world applicability
- Apply your EHR and informatics experience to assess whether AI outputs reflect how nursing and healthcare actually function
- Identify gaps, errors, or unrealistic assumptions in AI-generated health content and provide structured, actionable feedback
- Help translate nursing workflows and clinical knowledge into clear guidance that improves AI model performance
- Work independently and asynchronously — completing task-based assignments on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical background with hands-on experience in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or similar clinical documentation systems
- Strong ability to evaluate clinical accuracy and identify where AI responses fall short of real-world practice
- Clear written communication skills — you can articulate why something is right or wrong, not just flag it
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
Nice to Have
- Background in clinical informatics, health IT, or nursing informatics
- Experience with data annotation, content evaluation, or quality review workflows
- Familiarity with AI tools or interest in how large language models are developed
- Specialty experience in areas such as critical care, med-surg, oncology, or primary care
Why Join Us
- Work on meaningful AI projects with top-tier research labs shaping the future of healthcare technology
- Fully remote and flexible — work when it suits you, as much or as little as you want
- Freelance autonomy with the backing of a globally collaborative team
- Gain exposure to advanced AI systems and how they're trained and evaluated
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as projects grow
