Food Safety Specialist | Field-Based Role

Brisbane | $75,000 – $80,000 + Super + $10,000 Car Allowance

We are currently seeking a Food Safety Specialist for our client who operates one of Australia's largest fresh sushi networks, with kiosks in major supermarkets right across the country.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a food safety professional who enjoys being out in the field, working autonomously, and making a genuine impact on food safety standards at a grassroots level.

About the Role

As Food Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring food safety and quality compliance across a territory of sushi kiosks operating within major retail stores.

You'll manage your own audit schedule, conduct GMP audits, investigate non-conformances, deliver training, and represent the business at the retailer’s Quality Assurance audits.

This is a field-based role - you'll be on the road visiting approximately two kiosks per day, submitting reports digitally, with all travel and accommodation covered by the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular GMP audits across your territory and manage the full NCR closeout process
• Investigate customer complaints and compile Root Cause Analysis reports
• Deliver induction and re-training to franchisees and kiosk staff
• Manage the online training program and ensure completion by all staff
• Represent the business at retail audits and ensure continued compliance

About You

• Background in food safety, quality assurance, or food science
• HACCP knowledge and GMP auditing experience
• Confident delivering training and working with external stakeholders
• Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently in a field-based environment
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within your territory

The Territory

Covers Brisbane's northern suburbs, the Sunshine Coast, and Far North Queensland, with flights and accommodation fully covered for FNQ visits.
