About the Role

Are you passionate about creating safer workplaces and influencing positive safety outcomes across diverse operational environments?

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Group Safety Advisor to join our team based in Rose Park. Reporting to the Group WHS Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our national operations by partnering with site leadership and WHS teams to drive our commitment to a "Safety First, Always" culture.

This is a hands-on role that will see you travel to our operational sites, providing practical safety leadership, coaching and technical advice while ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety legislation and organisational standards.

You will work collaboratively with operational leaders, frontline employees and external stakeholders to identify risks, strengthen safety systems and deliver continuous improvement initiatives that protect our people.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert WHS advice and support to operational leaders and site-based WHS teams.
  • Conduct WHS audits, inspections and compliance reviews across multiple business operations.
  • Support incident investigations and root cause analysis activities.
  • Assist with hazard identification, risk assessments and risk control implementation.
  • Develop (in conjunction with stakeholders) and maintain WHS procedures, standards and guidance materials.
  • Assist, coordinate, deliver WHS training, education and awareness programs.
  • Monitor corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual WHS performance reports, dashboards and trend analysis.
  • Support regulatory interactions and compliance activities.
  • Promote continuous improvement and positive safety culture initiatives.
  • Complete WHS related administrative tasks, as required.

What we are looking for

  • Qualifications in Work Health and Safety (Certificate IV minimum; Diploma or tertiary qualifications highly regarded).
  • Demonstrated experience in a WHS advisory role within manufacturing, food processing, industrial or high-risk operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, regulations and standards.
  • Experience conducting workplace audits, inspections and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to coach and influence leaders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience interpreting WHS performance data.
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to operational sites as required
