About the Opportunity
This is an exciting time to join the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at John Hunter Hospital. Our 12-bed acute unit is a specialist service within a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital, providing care for patients from across Hunter New England.
You'll work alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team caring for patients with:
- Acute STEMI and other Acute Coronary Syndromes
- Structural Heart Disease
- TAVI and MitraClip procedures
- Cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure
The unit is also relocating to the new and updated John Hunter Hospital North Block, offering a modern workspace designed to support both exceptional patient care and staff wellbeing.
About You
Whether you already have acute cardiology experience or are looking to develop your skills in this specialty area, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for nurses who:

- Are eager to learn and develop their clinical skills.
- Are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Acute cardiology experience is desirable, but not essential. We welcome nurses with the right attitude and commitment to learning.
