My client, a Western Australian Heavy Haulage company require a Workshop Manager.
Your new role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Service Manager is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the Service department. The Service Manager is accountable for:
Profitability within the Service department.
Ensure accurate specification, quotation, and appraisals for repairs and servicing of new and used equipment.
Customer satisfaction and communication.
Developing new and maintaining existing client relationships.
Plan and manage the service admin team and workshop to ensure adequate resources are available to complete allocated work accurately within the quoted value(s).
Ensure legal obligations are met and company policies and guidelines are followed.
Manage repair and maintenance of new and used trailing equipment of all brands.
Develop G&A Lombardi service department/Workshop as a full-service provider, from major structural repair to minor service contracts.
Manage workshop scheduling & allocate personnel to jobs.
Manage workshop supervisors to ensure jobs are completed safely and on budget.
Ensure all tooling and equipment in the workshop is maintained, serviced and calibrated.
Ensure consistent, accurate preparation of work scope and quotes to clients.
Complete all quotes ensuring acceptance from the customer prior to scheduling and completion of work.
Ensure targeted profit margins are met on all service repair orders.
Seek and establish new/potential clients. Maintain and develop existing client relationships in an ethical and professional manner.
Be aware of industry change and advise on reports of change that may affect the service requirements, equipment specifications or legislative requirements.
Promote all facets of the company's business, sales, service and parts to provide an industry-leading haulage solution provider.
Ensure equipment is not released to clients without complete payment. Unless a prior arrangement has been approved by the General Manager.
Ensure professional handover of all equipment serviced.
Prepare quotations and an overview of repair schedules. This will include insurance repair proposals, minor repairs for individual client(s) and major and/or minor repair contracts for fleet clientele.
Ensure completed jobs are reviewed, approved and invoiced within 5 days.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need previous experience in a similar role. You will either need to be a permanent resident or an Australian Citizen.
A Mechanical Trade Qualification
Computer literacy including
- Microsoft suite, including Excel, Word etc
- Equip (preferred)
What you'll get in return
The role will be Monday-Friday with alternate Saturdays an option and will attract up to a $120'000 + super salary for the right person. You will also receive a company UTE as part of the package.
