Lead a High Performing Rental Operations Network

An established and growing equipment rental business is seeking an experienced State Operations Manager to lead its NSW operations.

This is a key leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence across multiple branches, ensuring exceptional customer service, strong financial performance, fleet availability, workshop efficiency, and a culture built around safety and accountability.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of branch and workshop operations across the state. You will be responsible for ensuring fleet assets are maintained and available for hire, operational processes are optimised, and customers receive exceptional service.

This role combines operational leadership, commercial management, team development and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support branch managers, workshop teams and operational staff across NSW
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company standards
• Oversee fleet, maintenance scheduling, repairs and asset availability
• Manage state budgets, profitability and operational performance
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer outcomes
• Develop and mentor teams, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry stakeholders

About You

You are a proven operational leader who understands the demands of a fast paced rental environment and the importance of balancing customer service, fleet performance and commercial outcomes.

You will bring:

• Experience in a senior operations, branch or state management role
• Background within equipment rental, transport, fleet management, heavy vehicles, industrial services or a related industry
• Strong understanding of workshop operations and maintenance planning
• Demonstrated success managing multiple sites and operational teams
• Financial and commercial acumen, including budget and P&L management
