What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Macro Space Planning Analyst to join our Range & Space team within the Merchandise function. Reporting to the Macro Space Planning Lead, you’ll work closely with the Macro Space Planning Lead and key cross-functional stakeholders to optimise store layouts and space allocation strategies across our retail network.

You’ll play a critical role in translating commercial strategies into effective in-store environments—using data, insights, and planning tools to drive performance, enhance the customer experience, and support strategic merchandising initiatives.

  • Developing and maintaining store layouts and macro space allocation strategies aligned to commercial and customer objectives
  • Allocating space across categories based on performance, growth opportunities, and strategic priorities
  • Supporting new store openings, refurbishments, layout resets, and in-store trials
  • Designing store flow and zoning to align with key customer missions and improve the overall shopping experience
  • Maintaining and improving space planning tools, layout data, and reporting to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Monitoring the impact of layout and space changes, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation
  • Collaborating with Category, Store Development, Operations, and external partners to deliver aligned and executable solutions

What you’ll bring

  • Proven Space Planning experience in either macro (floor planning), or micro (planograms)
  • Experience in pharmacy, health or FMCG retail environment
  • Strong knowledge of space planning tools such as Spaceman, Apollo or Blue Yonder (formerly JDA)
  • Ability to interpret data and translate it into clear, actionable insights and recommendations to inform and drive space strategy
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, numeracy and written skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects with key focus on timeline delivery
  • Ability to communicate clearly and influence effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Proven track record working both within a team environment & independently - with the ability to transition with ease
