About the role
Lead a dedicated team supporting individuals and families impacted by family violence to heal, rebuild, and thrive. As the Family Violence Therapeutic Team Leader, you will guide therapists and case managers, oversee service delivery and program quality, and ensure clients receive safe, trauma-informed support. Working closely with the Program Manager, you'll foster a positive team culture, provide supervision and professional development, and help drive meaningful outcomes for children, families, and communities
About You
You are a supportive and inspiring leader who is passionate about helping people heal and thrive. You bring experience in family violence and therapeutic services, confidently guiding and developing staff while ensuring every client receives culturally safe, trauma informed support. With strong judgement, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you foster a positive team culture and help create lasting change for children, families, and communities.
- The minimum qualification for this role is a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification OR have a minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience and related qualification relevant to child and family welfare as per the mandatory minimum qualifications for family violence practitioners.
- Experience working in Aboriginal led organisations will be highly regarded
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the child, youth and families’ sector
- Knowledge and experience in the application of relevant legislation and professional guidelines (including children and young people at risk, MARAM, Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme, Child Information Sharing Scheme, relevant professional Code of Ethics and Practice Standards, and privacy requirements).
- Valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
- Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
