About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Social Work Department at GV Health. In this position you will enjoy working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Sub Acute setting providing a Social Work service in the Mary Coram Rehabilitation Unit and Patient Flow and Access Unit. This position will also provide a Social Work service across the acute units including Medical, Surgical, Oncology, Maternity, Critical Care, Paediatrics, Emergency and the Outpatient setting.
Working as part of cohesive team, you will be well supported as you manage a diverse caseload providing practical and emotional support to patients and their families to assist in the management of changes to health and well being, whilst contributing to patient flow across the organisation.
We are Looking for
An approved tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
Demonstrated skills in assessment and the development of intervention options for patients with diverse and complex psychosocial circumstances
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as an active member of an interdisciplinary team
Demonstrated time management and organisational skills in the management of a clinical case load and clinical responsibilities
Experience in a healthcare setting
Experienced Grade One Social Workers are encouraged to apply.
