What you will do

As team leader - records & property, you will lead a team that supports records and property services across the Barwon Southwest Prison Precinct.

You will help maintain safe, accurate and efficient operations while supporting staff development.

You will:

  • lead the effective delivery of records and property services
  • train and support staff in records management and prisoner property processes
  • provide practical leadership, coaching and performance support to staff
  • maintain accurate prisoner records and property information
  • review operations, improve processes and support compliance with procedures.

About you

Experience in records management within a prison environment is desirable. Experience working in an operational records management setting will help you succeed in this role.

You should also have:

  • experience using records management systems and prison administration programs
  • strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement
  • advanced data and reporting skills, including Excel formulas and pivot tables
  • the ability to lead staff, build capability and support an inclusive workplace.
