ACCIONA Mechanical & Electrical is a specialist division within ACCIONA, delivering end-to-end mechanical and electrical design, construction, installation and commissioning services that support the transition to a low-carbon future.

Position

Own overall plant reliability and performance improvement outcomes, including availability, efficiency and compliance across Rockingham and Kwinana Waste to Energy Facilities. Lead failure elimination and reliability engineering programs across the facilities in partnership with the Engineering Managers. Direct and coordinate Performance Improvement Engineers to identify, prioritise and deliver plant optimisation initiatives.

Lead outage engineering and planning, including scope definition, execution strategy and post-outage performance recovery. Provide technical leadership and integration across operations, maintenance and engineering to improve plant outcomes. Drive data-led decision making through performance monitoring, analysis and reporting to support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage the master program schedule
  • Conduct regular critical path reviews and adjust plans accordingly
  • Facilitate risk mitigation workshops and collaborate with teams to address high-impact risks
  • Stakeholder Coordination and Design Approval Management
  • Balance competing stakeholder requirements effectively
  • Manage approval gates across multiple disciplines
  • Oversee compliance with Design Controls and Engineering Management Systems, including Safety in Design
  • Ensure engineering systems processes are integrated seamlessly
  • Proactively improve design quality and efficiency

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in reliability, maintenance or performance engineering in industrial environments
  • Experience in power generation, energy, waste, mining or heavy process industries
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles (RCM, FMEA, RCA).
  • Experience with CMMS/EAM systems
  • Ability to interpret complex technical and operational data.
  • Ability to lead technical investigations and influence change
