Position Type: Permanent Full Time (9 day fortnight, 38 hours/week)

Salary Range: Base Salary $65,313 per annum + super, plus applicable allowances, overtime and penalty rates, which may increase total annual earnings by $20,000 or more depending on work performed. Additional entitlements and overtime do not form part of the advertised base salary.

Looking for a hands-on role working outdoors and making a real impact on essential services?

We are looking for a Wastewater Maintenance Worker to join our team, helping maintain and repair the wastewater network to keep it running safely and reliably. This is a practical, physical role where you will work as part of a crew supporting day-to-day maintenance and emergency works.

About The Role

  • Assist with maintenance and repair of sewer mains, house connections and manholes
  • Clear blockages and respond to leaks and overflows
  • Support operation and maintenance of pump stations and network assets
  • Work as part of a crew delivering planned and reactive works
  • Participate in on-call and overtime for emergency response as required

About You

  • Experience in construction, civil, labouring, plumbing or similar field work
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work outdoors and undertake physical work
  • Reliable and able to work as part of a team
  • MR driver’s licence or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

  • Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD)
  • Confined Space Entry (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to receive Immunisation against Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B provided through Council.
