The Role of Assistant Night Manager

  • Assist the Night Manager with overseeing the hotel's overnight operations, ensuring the property operates efficiently and in line with hotel policies and procedures
  • Support and complete the night audit process, including administrative and reporting tasks
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the night team
  • Handle guest enquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution
  • Deliver efficient, friendly and professional customer service to all guests
  • Ensure a smooth and detailed handover is completed for the incoming shift team
  • Monitor the safety, security and presentation of the hotel during overnight operations
  • Assist with coordinating departmental activities to ensure seamless hotel operations overnight

About You

  • Previous experience in Front Office, Night Audit, or in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or a similar hotel role is highly advantageous
  • Experience within a five-star or premium hotel environment is desirable, but not essential
  • Knowledge and experience using Opera PMS is essential
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest service with a positive and professional attitude
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate required
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification required
