As our Project Manager, you'll own end-to-end delivery on projects in the $50-100 million range, leading budgets, programs, and subcontractor relationships across some genuinely complex, multi-trade scopes. The role requires a willingness to travel nationally and internationally when projects demand it. You Can Expect To
- Develop, document and implement project plans, tracking milestones, deliverables and budgets
- Manage contracts, subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, variations and project correspondence
- Lead project start-up meetings and ongoing team meetings
- Manage invoicing, receivables and approval of project payables
- Coordinate labour requirements and cost codes across site teams
- Review drawings for QA sign-off and manufacture
- Participate in internal and external QA audits and contribute to improving systems and processes
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Support business development, including converting construction projects into ongoing maintenance work
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Ensure compliance with Benmax WHSEQ systems and relevant codes and standards
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum eight years of experience in project management, delivering complex construction projects in the $50-100 million range
- Proven experience across multi-trade or modular construction projects, end-to-end
- Experience managing large site teams and leading cadets or junior project managers
- Strong commercial acumen across contracts, budgets, variations and forecasting
- Sound knowledge of construction and WHS requirements
- Confident stakeholder manager, comfortable having difficult conversations when needed
- Clear, direct communicator who raises issues early and comes with solutions
- Willing to travel nationally and internationally when required
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite; Procore and Aconex experience highly regarded
- Permanent working rights in Australia
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
- PMP, AIPM or equivalent professional certification (desirable)
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Certificate IV in WHS (desirable)
- Current First Aid Certificate
