About the role

As our Team Leader Asset Intelligence, you will lead Glen Eira’s enterprise asset intelligence function and elevate the way we plan, manage and invest in our community assets. You will be accountable for the strategy, governance and delivery of asset intelligence capabilities that integrate information from AMIS, GIS, financial systems, predictive modelling tools, and other enterprise platforms.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining an Asset Intelligence roadmap that operationalises Council’s Asset Management Policy and Strategy.
  • Establishing data governance for asset information (stewardship, glossary/data dictionary, metadata, access controls, audit and documentation).
  • Leading periodic asset management, maturity assessments, and delivering improvement plans focused on analytics, data quality, and reporting.

About you

You are a strategic, future‑focused individual who brings deep expertise in asset intelligence, data integration, and spatial information management. With extensive experience in asset‑intensive environments and you thrive on transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive smarter, more sustainable and service‑led decisions.

The following is also required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management, Data/Information Systems, GIS/Spatial Sciences, or related discipline, complemented by substantial experience in asset intelligence and/or asset data management.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver process improvements and automation initiatives relating to asset data workflows, spatial data ingestion, and analytics pipeline optimisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in using GIS, asset management, and data management software tools
  • Victorian Driver's License
