Currently we are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. In this pivotal role, you will lead and deliver high-quality nutrition care for individuals experiencing complex mental health conditions, supporting recovery through evidence-based dietary interventions. You will work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop and implement holistic care plans that address the physical and mental wellbeing of consumers.

The successful applicant shall practice is in accordance with the Dietitians Australia National Competency Standards for entry level dietitians and SMHS policies and guidelines. As part of the multi-disciplinary team, provides Dietetic services to Mental Health patients using advanced Dietetic clinical practice skills. Supports the Head of Department – Dietetics in providing supervision to the P1 Dietetic staff in the unit/clinical area, including allocating clinical duties and in managing performance. Acts at a specialised level of dietetic clinical consultant/resource to Dietitians and other health professionals. The Senior Dietitian Plans, implements and evaluates patient safety and quality of care.
